Special Assessment
Hello Neighbors,
As President of the RMCG Board of Directors and one of your neighbors, I am proud of our team of volunteers who have worked hard over the past several years to improve our community and revitalize our amenities. Since our neighborhood has been aging, many things have needed repairs or replacement. For example, last year we had the rock walls at all of the Carriage Gate entrances repaired since many of them were crumbling. We have also done lots of work on the pool and tennis facilities, including adding two Pickleball courts and new, energy-efficient LED lighting for the courts in recent months.
The majority of these expenses are covered by the dues paid by the members of our recreation facilities, along with a few residents who help by paying groundskeeping fees.* However, there are some costly improvements that need to be done to maintain one of our main neighborhood entrances and our playground facilities. Therefore, we are asking everyone to pitch in and help.
This investment, in addition to swim/tennis memberships, will allow us to leap forward and improve our amenities.
Our two big goals for the next few years are:
Replace the sign at the Carriage Gate entrance, which is cracked and crumbling (should happen this year) - everyone will benefit from this improvement!
Purchase and install new playground equipment since the current equipment won’t last much longer
In order to do so, we need to collect the funds necessary to make these improvements. We are asking for a one-time $125 payment from every household.
Click here to make your payment securely through Intuit, or you can mail a $125 check to:
CGRA 3827 Coachman Lane, Duluth, GA 30096
This is a rendition of the sign that will be constructed by one of our neighbors at a discounted rate. Jason Moore owns A1 Signs and has worked with us to develop a design for a beautiful and lasting sign.
As mentioned above, our playground equipment, which has served us for many years, is in need of being replaced. We have many new families moving into the neighborhood and this project will be very expensive. The more we raise, the better we will be able to make this new playground, so feel free to donate generously if it’s important to you!
Thank you very much for your participation in making our neighborhood more beautiful and your homes more valuable. If I can answer any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out at board@rmcg.org.
Sincerely,
Peter Ward
